World Series: Erie County Avengers vs Burn Roll Brahs

The Burn Roll Brahs met up with defending champs, Erie County Avengers for the 2nd Worlds Series of the Ken Ton SOMBBL.
Game ONE
E.C. 100010000 2 4 2 Carrasco, Robles
BRN 00001020- 3 3 0 Greinke CG
In a close one Erie County struck first with a first inning HR by Cruz and extending the lead to 2 off a solo shot by Headley in the 5th. BURN chipped away with a one out 3B by Turner and a SAC by Rizzo. Burn took the lead due to a surprising error from Cozart 1e10 and a HR by Davis. Despite getting the tying run to 3rd in the 9th, Greinke holds on for the win.

Burn got on the board first with back to back HRs by Bautista and Harper, though the lead was short lived as EC's Cozart hit a 2 run HR in the very next inning. Walks came back to haunt EC in the bottom of the 3rd as Burn gets 2 runs mostly do to 3 walks and a HBP. Hendriks and Smith do a nice job holding E.C. off the bases late in the game

Burn gets on the board first in the 3rd as walks come back to haunt EC throughout the game. Obviously much of the damage was off the hitters cards in this one as Kershaw gave up 3 runs off 9 hits and 7 walks. E.C. who also get 9 hits in this one, came back in the 6th with 2 Bs by Reddick and Hundley. In an exciting 9th inning E.C. gets a lead off walk, back to back 1 out singles, but gets thrown out at home on a greater than 50% chance.

The teams trade big first innings do to the long ball. Harper hits a 3 run shot and Dickerson hits a 2 runs after Hosmer singled in the lead off double by Reddick. Both pitchers settled down after the 1st as E.C.'s Wacha was perfect over the next 4 innings. E.C. had their chances in this one with the bases loaded in the 6th, hitting into a clutch out in the 7th, and getting thrown out at home on another <50% chance in the 8th. In the top of the 8th with 1 out and nobody on, Burn's manager made the tough decision to stick with Greinke instead of pinch hitting with a loaded bench. While the inning wouldn't have been prolonged, it caused much taLk in post game interviews.
Chris Davis hit the go ahead HR in the top of the 9th, and though EC got a lead off hitter to second Familia managed to hold on to get the save.
