Joey Votto had 2 base hits and Johnny Cueto was able to finish what he started
and was credited with a complete game at Tropicana Field where the Hershey
Squirts beat the Burn Roll Brah's 6 to 2.
Burn Roll fell behind quickly as the Hershey offense came through in the first
inning scoring 4 runners on 3 hits. The early run support proved sufficient
for Cueto(7-8) and Hershey. That was all the run support Cueto required.
Hershey rapped out 9 hits for the night.
The losing pitcher was Yovani Gallardo(0-2). He pitched 8 innings and
surrendered 9 hits and 4 walks.
Game 2 -

Zack Greinke whitewashed Hershey on 2 hits as the Burn Roll Brah's bested the
Hershey Squirts 6 to 0 at Tropicana Field.
Greinke(3-0) was virtually untouchable. He didn't allow much, just 2 hits and
3 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 2.00 to 1.33. Burn Roll
managed 13 hits in their victory.
Shelby Miller(3-8) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 9 hits and no walks in
6 innings. 'He had his 'A' game tonight,' Brian Mancuso said of Greinke.
'Very impressive performance.'

Burn Roll found themselves trailing quickly as the Hershey bats came through
in the first inning scoring one runner. The Burn Roll batters went down
meekly in the 9th.
The victory was credited to Garrett Richards(3-9) who went 7 innings, allowing
3 runs. Richards got relief help from Dellin Betances who gained credit for
his 1st save. John Lackey(1-1) took the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 9 hits
in 8 innings.

Right fielder Jose Bautista had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Burn Roll Brah's
defeated the Hershey Squirts by the score of 8 to 2 at Tropicana
Field.
Hershey was unable to climb back into it after Burn Roll went ahead for good
in the 3rd inning scoring 2 runners on 3 hits. That scoring would be all
that was needed. Burn Roll out-hit Hershey for the game, 12 hits to 5.
The victory was credited to Cody Anderson(1-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 2
runs. Jose Fernandez(3-2) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 11 hits and
4 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.

the score of 3 to 2.
Bay Bay was unable to claim the lead after Erie County went ahead in the 6th
inning plating an isolated run using 3 hits. Bay Bay had a chance in the 9th
but they came up short.
Clayton Kershaw(11-2) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory.
Shawn Tolleson was credited with his 7th save. Felix Hernandez(1-2) took the
loss.

Mikie Mahtook lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 5 RBI at Great
American Bpk as the Erie County Avengers beat the Bay Bay MonkA's 15 to
7.
The Erie County fans enjoyed the offense provided by Mahtook. He doubled
which was good for two runs in the 4th inning and belted a three-run homer in
the 5th inning. Erie County bats were hot in the 4th inning with 5 runs on 6
hits and the 5th inning with 4 runs on 4 hits. Erie County had many
opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.
Steve Geltz(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. The
losing pitcher was Cole Hamels(1-2). He was touched for 4 homeruns in his 5
innings of work.

Bay Bay had 12 hits for the game and Erie County had 6.
Steven Matz(0-2) was the loser. He surrendered 7 hits and 5 walks in 5
innings.

surrendering no hits and 2 walks lowering his ERA from 2.70 to 2.41. Erie
County had 8 hits for the night.
Mike Leake(0-2) was the losing pitcher. Erie County knocked him around a bit,
as he gave up 5 runs in 3 innings.
