Lumber Jocks beat the Hershey Squirts by the score of 4 to 3.
North Tonawanda came up with 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. The big
moment was provided by Joe Panik who elicited a roar from the hometown fans
when he doubled bringing home two baserunners. Hershey had a chance to come
back in the 9th but they came up short.
Julio Teheran(1-1) allowed 3 runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Teheran got relief help from Francisco Rodriguez who gained credit
for his 4th save. Johnny Cueto(6-6) was tagged with the loss. He allowed 9
hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.

North Tonawanda Lumber Jocks 4 to 3.
Hershey scored 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning. After two outs Billy
Hamilton began the rally when he drew a walk. Hamilton swiped second base.
Joey Votto then lifted one out of the park for a two run home run. Both
teams ended up with 10 hits on the night.
Shelby Miller(3-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and allowing
1 run. Joaquin Benoit recorded his 2nd save. Carlos Martinez(0-3) was tagged
with the loss

highlight belonged to Chris Coghlan who made the crowd come alive when he
brought the hometown folks to their feet with a Grand Slammer. North
Tonawanda had 8 hits for the night while Hershey had 5.
The winning pitcher was Francisco Rodriguez(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1
inning. The losing pitcher was Dellin Betances(2-1) in relief. He pitched

Michael Wacha(7-1) pitched a solid game. He was reached for 3 hits and 1 walk
in 6 innings. Wheatfield had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Wacha was helped out by A.J. Ramos who recorded his 3rd save. The losing
pitcher was David Price(0-3). He gave up 4 runs and 9 hits in 8 innings.

hits and 2 walks. Pineda got relief help from Darren O'Day who was excellent
in relief and gained credit for his 1st save.
Carlos Carrasco(3-4) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered only 3 runs and 3
hits in 6 innings. 'I had my good stuff tonight.' Pineda said. 'As the game
went along I started to get the feeling that I was going to strike out a
bunch of hitters.'

Erie County erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 8th inning
with 2 runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Eric Hosmer got things
rolling when he delivered a solo blast. Josh Reddick stepped into the
batter's box and he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. Wheatfield threatened
in the 9th but their rally came up short.
Shawn Tolleson recorded the save, his 6th.
