Johnny Cueto had an impressive outing as the Hershey Squirts outscored the St.

Hershey brought 2 runs across the plate in the top of the 7th inning when they
came up with 3 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Billy Hamilton
who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he laced a base-knock
bringing home two baserunners. Hershey totaled 9 hits on the night.
Cueto(6-5) was credited with the shutout, his first of the year. Chris
Sale(0-2) was the losing pitcher. Despite losing, he struckout 11 Hershey
batters in 7 innings.

inning, clubbed a three-run home run in the 6th inning and tripled which was
good for two runs in the 8th inning. St. Louis managed 13 hits in their
victory.
The victory went to Hendricks(2-0) who went the distance allowing 1 run.
Patrick Corbin(0-2) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 9 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.

walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 3.11 to 2.90. Erie County managed 8
hits in their victory.

innings. Kershaw, when asked about his 17 strikeout performance noted, 'The
important thing is that we won, if I get 20 and we lose, what good does it do
our team? But, on the other hand, since we won it feels great!'

and no walks in 7 innings seeing his ERA drop from 4.13 to 3.79. Erie County
