Shortstop Zack Cozart connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at Yankee
Stadium as the Erie County Avengers beat the Toronto Maple Leaves by the
count of 3 to 1.
In the 3rd inning Erie County went on top for good scoring a single run. A.J.
Ramos was perfect in relief and gained credit for his 1st save.
Clayton Kershaw(5-0) allowed 1 run in 6 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Jake Arrieta(0-2) was hit with the loss. He surrendered only 3 runs
and 7 hits in 9 innings.

Maple Leaves defeated the Erie County Avengers in 19 innings by a score of 3
to 2 at Yankee Stadium.
The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Toronto won the game in the
19th inning. Brantley clubbed a solo home run making Toronto victorious to
the delight of the the home town crowd. Toronto rapped out 12 hits for the
night.
The win went to Fernando Rodriguez(1-0) who allowed no runs in 8 innings. The
loss was charged to Ken Giles(0-1) in relief. He gave up 1 run and 1 hit in
1/3 of an inning.
Springer and Dickerson both hurt in the 12th. for 6+ innings Erie had 1/3 of their lineup as pitchers.

Erie County fell behind quickly as the Toronto offense came through in the
first inning when they came up with 5 runs on 4 hits. The early run support
proved sufficient for Tommy Milone(1-0) and Toronto. That was all the run
support Milone required. Toronto had 16 hits for the night while Erie County
had 7.
Jake Odorizzi(3-3) ended up with the loss. He was touched for 16 hits and 3
walks in 8 innings.

hits. The big moment was provided by Stephen Piscotty who silenced the crowd
when he tripled scoring two baserunners. Erie County had 14 hits for the
game and Toronto had 7.
The victory went to Andrew Heaney(3-3) who went 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing 4
runs. The losing pitcher was Gerrit Cole(1-1). By giving up 10 runs in 8 and
