Corey Dickerson lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI at Miller Park
as the Erie County Avengers beat the Bay Bay MonkA's by the count of 7 to
4.
Bay Bay was unable to recover after Erie County went ahead in the top of the
7th inning scoring one runner. Erie County totaled 12 hits on the night.
Clayton Kershaw(3-0) went 7 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Kershaw was
helped out by Hansel Robles who recorded his 2nd save. Felix Hernandez(0-1)
took the loss.

Bay Bay never recovered after Erie County took the lead in the top of the 7th
inning plating an isolated run. Bay Bay had a chance in the 9th but they
came up short.
The victory went to Michael Wacha(3-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs.
Ken Giles gained credit for his 2nd save. The losing pitcher was Cole
Hamels(0-1).

Erie County scored the winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs utilizing 3
base hits. James McCann led off and started the attack as he stroked a
single. Nelson Cruz followed next and he clubbed a two-run home run. Erie
County had 11 hits for the night while Bay Bay had 7.
Jeff Manship(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Manship got help from Ken Giles who was credited with his 3rd save.
The losing pitcher was Mark Lowe(0-1) in relief.

Lance McCullers carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning and center fielder
Gregor Blanco hit 2 doubles as the Bay Bay MonkA's defeated the Erie County
Avengers by a score of 3 to 2 at Miller Park.
McCullers(1-0) pitched a solid game. He went 6 and 1/3 innings and surrended
up 3 hits and 1 walk. McCullers racked up 10 strikeouts and allowed 2 gopher
balls. The right-handed McCullers lost his no-hit bid when Khris Davis
homered with nobody out in the 7th inning. Erie County threatened in the 9th
but their rally came up short.
Zach Britton got the save, his 1st. Jake Odorizzi(2-2) suffered the loss. He
struck out 8 batters in 5 innings despite losing the game.
McCullers was jubilant in the hometown clubhouse, 'It was a lot of fun out
there. The fans gave me a lot of support as did my teammates. We got the
victory and I'll sure take 10 strikeouts anytime

Justin Upton provided much of the offense. He banged out a single in the 1st
inning, doubled bringing in two baserunners in the 2nd inning and cleared the
fences for a two-run home run in the 4th inning. Burn Roll totaled 13 hits
on the night.
The win was credited to Greinke(1-0) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs.
The losing pitcher was Shelby Miller(0-3). He was touched for 4 homeruns in
his 2 innings of work.
