Lizards topped the Brooklyn Dodgers by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Lincoln Park was
victorious in the 16th inning. Salvador Perez lined a base-hit. Dustin
Pedroia stepped up next and he slapped a single. Starling Marte then ripped
a single resulting in a mighty exciting win for Lincoln Park and the 29,550
home town fans in attendance. Lincoln Park managed 12 hits in their victory.
The victory went to Casey Janssen(1-0) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs.
Joe Smith(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3
innings giving up 3 hits and no walks.

In the 4th inning Lincoln Park scored 3 runs when they came up with 3 base
hits. The big moment was provided by Cameron Rupp who made the home-town
crowd a happy bunch when he tripled bringing home two baserunners. Neither
team managed to score after the 4th inning.
Jon Lester(1-0) went 8 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Lester was
helped out by Casey Janssen who recorded his 1st save. Gio Gonzalez(1-1) was
hit with the loss. He surrendered 8 hits and 3 walks in 7 innings.

Mike Fiers carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Lincoln Park Lizards
won in dramatic fashion over the Brooklyn Dodgers by a score of 2 to 1 at
Busch Stadium.
Lincoln Park scored the winning runs in the 9th inning with 2 runs on 2 hits.
After an out was recorded, Starling Marte began the rally when he slapped a
one-base hit. Josh Donaldson came next and he cracked a two-run shot giving
Lincoln Park the victory as 40,254 happy fans celebrated wildly. Neither
team was able to score until the 6th inning.

LP 1 10 0 Happ, Jeffress, Davis
Erasmo Ramirez(1-1) pitched a solid game. He was reached for 8 hits and no
walks in 7 innings improving his ERA from 3.00 to 2.08. Both teams finished
the game with 10 hits.
Pedro Strop was credited with his 2nd save. The loss was charged to J.A.
Happ(0-1). He got hammered, allowing 10 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.
Despite all this, Lincoln managed to load up the bases in the bottom of the
9th with 2 outs. However Strop was able to strikeout Pollock to end the
game and the rally.
