Erie County takes their WS show on the road.

Clayton Kershaw came through with a solid 7 innings at Citizens Bank Park as
the Erie County Avengers won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the
Chicago Cowbells by the count of 4 to 1.
Erie County came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning when
they scored 4 runs on 2 hits. The critical plate appearance was by George
Springer who deflated the spirits of the home town crowd when he lost the
ball over the fence for three runs. Chicago was set down quietly in the
bottom of the 9th.

Jake Odorizzi(2-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for Erie County.
He was reached for 4 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. For the game
Erie County out-hit Chicago 9 to 4.

The victory was credited to Jacob Degrom(1-0) who went 5 and 1/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Heaney(1-1) absorbed the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls
in 6 innings.

who quieted the crowd when he depressed the partisan hometown fans with a
grand slam home run. Erie County had a total of 8 hits for the game.
Michael Wacha(2-1) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Hansel
Robles recorded the save, his 1st. Chris Archer(0-1) was given the loss. He
was knocked around, surrendering 7 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings.
